Spring writing courses in the Writing Room, Wood Green

Haringey Literature Live has published its programme of creative writing classes for Spring 2019. There are six-week courses - some in the day, others in the evening - and monthly one-day masterclasses. All taught by critically acclaimed writers. And all open to Enfield residents.

Edmonton festival offers photography and poetry prizes

The 2018 Lamb Festival will be held at All Saints Edmonton from 16th to 22nd June. Entries for the photography and poetry competitions must be submitted by 11th May.

This year's Lamb Festival will take place from 17th to 23rd June at All Saints Church in Edmonton. As before, there will be a photographic competition, but this year instead of an essay competition there will be prizes for the best poems

Enfield Writers Workshop

Meetings are held in the downstairs lecture room at Salisbury House from 8-10pm on Friday evenings, usually every fortnight. Those attending can read out a short piece of their writing in any form (usually prose, poetry or drama) and get feedback from the group. Creative writing sessions are usually held every two months. Sessions are free for newcomers and £2 thereafter, and there is an annual subscription of £6.
