Twice Bafta nominated director Yousaf Ali Khan is coming to the Writing Room in Wood Green. His courses are called Blank Canvas because they are designed for people with no previous experience, and no particular single idea for a script, to come along and explore what stories they might tell in film, and how. You can sign up to a 6-week story-development short script course, or to a one-day masterclass, looking at how a feature film script would be structured.

The Lamb Festival 2018: Saturday 16th to Friday 22nd June. An arts Festival at All Saints, Edmonton, to celebrate the lives and legacies of Charles and Mary Lamb. The dates and speakers at the 2018 Enfield Literary Festival have been announced.  It will be held at the Dugdale Centre from 22nd to 30th June.  The lineup below is incomplete, but is already pretty impressive.  The theme is "Change". The Lamb Festival: An Arts Festival at All Saints, Edmonton, to celebrate the lives and legacies of Charles and Mary Lamb. Meetings are held in the downstairs lecture room at Salisbury House from 8-10pm on Friday evenings, usually every fortnight. Those attending can read out a short piece of their writing in any form (usually prose, poetry or drama) and get feedback from the group. Creative writing sessions are usually held every two months. Sessions are free for newcomers and £2 thereafter, and there is an annual subscription of £6.

For the third year running All Saints Church in Edmonton will be hosting the Lamb Festival, celebrating local literary celebrities Charles and Mary Lamb. Last year over 600 people visited All Saints, Edmonton, for a glorious week of poetry, music, theatre and a wide range of other events.
