As part of the Cycle Enfield works, resurfacing of Green Lanes at and near the junction with Station Road and Fords Grove will be carried out overnight for four nights starting on Monday 10th April.  Buses 329 and N29 will be diverted away from Winchmore Hill between 8pm and 5am. The section that will not be covered is likely to be between Bush Hill Parade ("Church Street" bus stop) and the Green Lanes/Hedge Lane/Bourne Hill junction in Palmers Green. <?php$ogImage = ' ';include.......

A105 Scheme Green Dragon Lane to York Road - Most substantive work on this section is complete. The zebra crossing has now been connected and the associated road marking work will take place next week. Borden Avenue to Walnut Grove - We will continue to install cycle segregation units until early April. Line marking will continue this week. The bus shelter outside the church will be replaced at a later date by Transport for London. Work is expected to be complete by the mid April. Sainsbury's.......

The Mayor of London has announced that he intends to bring forward the introduction of the Ultra-Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) in Central London by a year.  Subject to further consultation, it will now come into force in April 2019.  Drivers of petrol vehicles that don’t meet Euro 4 standards and diesel vehicles that do not meet Euro 6 standards will have to pay a daily fee of £12.50 for cars, vans and motorbikes and £100 for buses, coaches and HGVs. A105 Scheme Green Dragon Lane to York Road – Most substantive work on this section is complete. A zebra crossing will be commissioned next week. Borden Avenue to Walnut Grove – We have removed and replaced a bus shelter and completed the drainage. Some additional surfacing and lining work will take place during daytime hours. Work is expected to be complete by the end of March. Enfield Council has relaunched its Quieter Neighbourhoods (QNs) project, an important element of its Mini Holland bid which has been on hold since early 2015.  Leaflets will soon be posted through doors of people living in the first areas to be surveyed and it is already possible to fill in an online Residents' Perception Survey. Enfield Council has published the following information about parking along the A105 for disabled people. Disabled parking on the A105 scheme We are aware concerns were raised over the cycle lane reducing the availability of parking spaces and preventing people with disabilities transported by private vehicles gaining access in certain areas. The following information is taken from the latest Cycle Enfield newsletter.  Dates may affected by adverse weather. As reported earlier, Enfield Council will resume work on creating Quieter Neighbourhoods with the next few weeks.  Although the residents-led workshop approach will now not be used and the Council will be coming up with proposals and seeking feedback, this still leaves room for residents to float their own ideas before the Council sets out theirs. The latest news about the Triangle from Richard Eason, Cycle Enfield Consultation Manager, is that the plans include six new trees. Five of these are intended to be ‘heavy standard’ trees (three located around HSBC and two by Starbucks). The sixth tree will be a semi-mature tree to be placed in the middle of the triangle. So essentially as captured in the attached visualisation, though the positioning of the clock is yet to be agreed. Work on the triangle is currently scheduled.......

An online petition on the 38 Degrees website is calling on the Mayor of London to include the whole of Greater London in the Ultra-Low Emissions Zone, for it to cover all types of vehicle and for it to come into force by 2019. The  petition was created by Daniel Jones of Enfield Green Party. “We call on the Mayor of London and Transport for London to introduce an Ultra Low Emission Zone for all vehicles to cover the whole of Greater London by 2019.” Why is this important?.......
