How To Make a Quilt for Beginners (first week of 4-week course)

Stitch!, 397 Green Lanes, N13 4JG

202001 beginner quilting

(With Pat Stevens)

What you will learn

Learn the basics of modern machine quilting including choosing fabric, cutting, using a rotary cutter, patchwork construction and putting the quilt together including the binding. The design will be based on a log cabin design, similar to the quilt hanging in our shop. We have Janome sewing machines. If you have no experience of using a sewing machine it is recommended that you take the ‘get to know your machine’ session before booking on this course. Otherwise, no previous quilting experience is required.

What you need to bring

Part of the course will be the choosing of fabrics and all the material will be provided part for you (apart from wadding which you can purchase in shop) unless you have suitable material of your own you would like to bring.
