Photographic exhibition: Catching the Light

Book free tickets to attend the first exhibition showcasing our photography from service users (outpatients and carers) of the Health and Wellbeing Centre at North London Hospice.

Nine photographers from the North London Hospice – all members of “Catching the Light” Photography Group – will be showcasing their collections, each comprising 4 works:

  • Stairways;
  • Seascape;
  • Climb Every Mountain;
  • Reflections;
  • Getting Around;
  • Colours of Summer and Autumn;
  • Baby Feet;
  • NLH Portraits;
  • My Favourite Photos

Please join us on 5 December 2019 to celebrate life through photography.

All monies raised from the sale of photographs will go towards the services and activities at the North London Hospice.

Health and Wellbeing Centre at North London Hospice

The Health and Wellbeing Centre, in Winchmore Hill, is the base for North London Hospice’s outpatients and therapies. It offers outpatient clinics and a wide ranging selection of support, treatment, courses and workshops for patients, their carers and families in the three boroughs we serve - Enfield; Haringey and Barnet. Our aim is to enable all those affected by a life-limiting illness to feel supported to live as well as possible.

The Centre focuses on supporting areas such as symptom management, rehabilitation, self-management, social, psychological and emotional wellbeing.

Catching the Light Photography Group

The photography group started in November 2017 after a number of service users of the outpatient’s care expressed an interest in photography with the Art Therapist, Christina Paparestis. It started with no real agenda but became an incredible place for support where friendships and, of course, photography developed!

North London Hospice

North London Hospice is a registered charity and has been caring for local people since 1984. We help those with a potentially life-limiting illness who have specialist needs. Care is provided to help them physically, emotionally and spiritually. We try to help our patients live life to the full despite their illness. We treat people as individuals and respect their personal beliefs, lifestyle and culture. The Hospice is multi-faith and welcomes patients from all faiths and communities. Emotional and practical support is also offered to patients’ families, friends and carers. Our services are provided free of charge by specially trained multi-professional teams, which include doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, counsellors and chaplains.
