Southgate Symphony Orchestra: Peerano Playing

St Stephens Church, 43a Village Road, Bush Hill Park, EN1 2ET

201904 southgate symphony

MacCunn:  Land of the Mountain and the Flood
Grieg:  Peer Gynt (Incidental music with narration)
Tchaikovsky:  Piano Concerto

Conductor: Adrian Brown
Leader: Angela Hunt
Piano: Florian Mitrea

This concert will include music with a northern flavour as well as a popular piano concerto.

The first half opens with an evocative portrait of Scotland, in Hamish MacCunn's delightful concert overture Land of the Mountain and the Flood  followed by incidental music to Peer Gynt by Edward Grieg.

We are delighted to welcome talented young pianist Florian Mitrea to perform Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto, supported by Making Music's "Philip & Dorothy Green Young Artists" scheme.
