The future of London: Walking tour of a pedestrianised Square Mile

Outside the Royal Exchange, Bank Junction, EC3V 3LR

Walk into the future of a pedestrianised Square MIle on this unique guided walk.

Ahead of the Mayor of London's Climate Action Week, we are excited to be running this guided walk exploring the future of a pedestrianised, traffic-free City of London.

We will be announcing a special tour guide shortly. The walk will take us around the Square Mile, discussing how different the City of London could feel, sound, and function if traffic were to be removed ona permanent basis.

As one of the world's busiest commuting zones and a site of globally signficant architectural heritage, opening up the Square Mile as a space for pedestrians and cycles could transform the quality of life for the better for Londoners and visitors to the city.

Meet next to the statue of the Duke of Wellington. We will walk the perimeter of the City and discuss what the traffic-free future could look like.
