With Sharon Wallin

Together we will knit a triangular shawl in garter stitch using an easy, versatile pattern in two short sessions on Zoom.

Be amazed- this addictive shawl will grow before your eyes!

Sharon will teach you how to incorporate other stitches and yarn colours to create your own unique and beautiful design. You can knit your shawl as large or as small as you wish in your favourite yarn and colour ways.
This workshop will suit beginner and intermediate knitters, is perfect if you have never made a shawl before and will hopefully inspire you to create something beautiful.

Session 1:
The first class will introduce you to My Favourite Shawl and will cover
– How to start knitting from the centre
– How to use different simple stitches to create pattern and texture
– How you can use colours to create a unique design
You will knit a small sample using oddments of yarn.

Session 2:
Having experimented with some ideas, we will now knit My Favourite Shawl. We will consider colour changes, finishing techniques and ultimately how to ensure a professional cast off.

As soon as you sign up for the Zoom workshops, you will receive more detail on the pattern, yarn, needles and equipment needed for sessions 1 and 2.  Sharon will suggest yarn ideas and needle types/ sizes.

There will be an optional third Zoom session for anyone who would like to have one to one advice and support

DATE: Saturday 30th May, 11-11.40am & Saturday 6th June, 11-11.40am
