talkies short of the month smalltalkies short of the month

Talkies Surayya"Hi - I am Surayya ,  one of Talkies' volunteers. I will be bringing you a short film on this website each month.

"Please let us know what you think of this month's film, and watch this space to see what we will bring you in the coming months!"

As you already know, Talkies commissions a series of short films each year (if you didn’t know, where have you guys been?!). The premiere night of the 2018 shorts happened a few weeks ago where our filmmakers were celebrated, and the results of their work shown to an audience of around 200 people. Now we look ahead to the 2019 commissions, which open in June. Do you or anyone you know have an idea for a short film? If so, start prepping your proposal now and submit when entries open.

In need of inspiration? Take a look at one of our previous films entitled ‘Smear’. If you have any fears about medical examinations, watch this and realise that nothing the doctor can do will be as eventful as this. If we’re wrong though, maybe you should write a film about it...”
